* Lachlan has been Penn Hip tested with a score of .41 on each hip and CERF Normal* 2004. As well, he is Optigen tested CEA/CH normal and is BAER tested normal

Lachlan was born 5/14/00 and he achieved his AKC Championship at the age of 18 months on 11/15/01.

To become a champion you must earn 15 points. You receive an incremental number of points based upon the number of dogs that you place above. Out of those required 15 points, you must have 2 majors (a major is 3, 4 or 5 points). This means that there has to be so many dogs which vary for each breed and state that you show in. The only way that you can get the points is by going Winners dog or Winners bitch or going best of Winners, winning your class gets you nothing, you must win over all the other winners.

The classes go as this:
6-9 month puppy dogs
9-12 month puppy dogs
12-18 month dogs
Bred-by-exhibitor dogs
American-bred dogs
Open dogs
First in all these classes go back into the ring with each other then the winner out of that class is called " winners dog". Then you do this all over again with the bitches then the winners dog and the winners bitch go into the ring with all the dogs and bitches that are champions already and out of that they pick Best of Breed, Best of opposite sex, and Best of winners.
